Abuesi Community Garden
Establishing sustainable food production and teaching agricultural skills to promote food security in the community.
Project Overview
The Abuesi Community Garden project transforms unused land into productive agricultural space while teaching sustainable farming practices to young people. This initiative addresses food security concerns while providing practical agricultural education. Participants learn organic farming techniques, crop rotation, composting, and basic business skills through selling surplus produce. The garden serves as both a learning laboratory and a source of fresh, affordable vegetables for the community. We've also integrated environmental education components, teaching about climate change adaptation and sustainable resource management.
