Digital Literacy Program - New Enrollment Period Open
We're excited to announce that enrollment for our Digital Literacy for All program is now open for the October cohort. This comprehensive 8-week program will teach essential computer and internet skills to help you thrive in today's digital world. Classes will be held every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at our community center. The program is completely free and includes hands-on training with modern computers and software. To register, visit our office during weekdays from 2 PM to 6 PM or call us at 024-123-4567. Limited spots available - first come, first served!
Community Garden Celebrates Bumper Harvest
Our Abuesi Community Garden has achieved its most successful harvest to date! This month, our young farmers produced over 600kg of fresh vegetables including tomatoes, onions, okra, and leafy greens. The surplus is being sold at the local market, with proceeds supporting the program and providing income for participants. We're particularly proud of the innovative irrigation system designed and built by our participants. The success of this project demonstrates the potential for sustainable agriculture in our community. Thank you to all volunteers and supporters who made this possible!

Youth Leadership Academy Graduates Make Their Mark
We're thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of our Youth Leadership Academy graduates! Eight months after completing the program, our alumni have initiated 15 community improvement projects across Abuesi. These include a neighborhood cleanup initiative, a peer tutoring network, and a youth sports league. Additionally, eight graduates have been elected to student government positions in their respective schools. Their leadership and dedication continue to inspire positive change in our community. Congratulations to all our graduates - you're making Abuesi proud!
Annual Fundraising Gala - Save the Date
Mark your calendars for CYALE's Annual Fundraising Gala on November 20th, 2024! Join us for an evening of celebration, community, and fundraising to support our youth development programs. The event will feature local musicians, traditional dance performances, and inspiring speeches from program participants. Tickets are GH₵50 for adults and GH₵25 for students. All proceeds will go directly toward expanding our educational support programs and establishing new community initiatives. Sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses. Volunteer Appreciation Day - Thank You to Our Heroes
CYALE hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Day last weekend, celebrating the incredible individuals who make our programs possible. Over 40 volunteers gathered for a day of recognition, sharing, and planning for the future. Our volunteers contribute over 1,000 hours monthly to various programs, from tutoring and mentoring to administrative support and event coordination. Special recognition went to long-time volunteers who have served for over three years. If you're interested in joining our volunteer family, we always welcome new members who share our passion for youth development.
Educational Scholarships Now Available - Apply Today!
CYALE is proud to announce the availability of educational scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year. We're offering 25 scholarships ranging from GH₵500 to GH₵2,000 to support students pursuing secondary and tertiary education. Priority will be given to students demonstrating academic excellence, financial need, and commitment to community service. Application deadline is October 31st, 2024. Required documents include academic transcripts, recommendation letters, and a personal essay. Application forms are available at our office and on our website.
